Son joins the Army
Mommy and me photo shoots are special, intimate sessions that feature a mother with her child or children. The results of the shoot can make great gifts for Dad, grandparents, godparents, friends or Mom herself. The photos can be given out over the holidays or as a “just-because” gift any time of the year. Mommy and me photography isn’t just for little ones; this specialized type of portrait photography can work wonderfully with children of any age.
When you first become a mother, you are overwhelmed with the feelings of love and fear. No one can truly describe what it feels like to see your child for the first time, only being in that moment can you comprehend the love and emotions. Being a mother is like having your heart outside of your body. Many things go thru your mind on a daily basis, including the heavy responsibility of shaping a mind, ensuring this human being becomes the best person they can be and their safety. You want them to grow up, you want them to be good people who will go on to raise other happy wonderful people.

I was contacted by Liz about scheduling a Mommy and Me session with her son. It was imperative that we did the session in May, because he would be off to boot camp at the end of the month. Her only child has enlisted in the Army.
Son Joins the Army
While she is a proud mother, like more parents hearing that their child will be joining the military; the possibility of war always looms overhead. The fear is real, and Liz decided to honor her son and their relationship by capturing a patriotic mommy and me session.
Liz's son is a brave young man who is ready to make a difference in the world. His mother is proud of him and with tears in her eyes explained to me how important it was for her to capture their bond.
They now embark on a new journey, the task is difficult for any mother but it is our destiny to let them go.
It was an honor to be their photographer and I will treasure these photos forever.
