I introduce you to Debra F. who is celebrating her 59th birthday in an epic way! She is having her very own Goddess Experience photoshoot and we couldn’t have asked for a better woman to represent some of the best years in a woman’s life.

When Debra spoke to Maria she had a lot say about her life journey and why she wanted to experience a photoshoot like this.

“I turn 59 this month, I’ve never had the opportunity to really be photographed. I work in a male dominated job and I never get the opportunity to truly dress up, nor do I even know how—really, I’m still learning. I’ve been a tomboy since I was little. I grew up very poor so I wore my brothers hand-me-downs; it wasn’t until I had my last daughter that I started dressing girlier and understanding that I am beautiful. My last daughter is an extreme girly girl, so she would push me to try new things and try different clothing—and [she] would always tell me how beautiful I am, and to get out of my comfort zone. I would just love to have the opportunity to be photographed in a way that I feel empowered and good about myself. Even at my age, I would love to see that picture every day remind me that I am worth it and I am beautiful—and to show my children that I’m not 100% tomboy.”

Our goal this year is to photograph 100 women and we have an amazing hair and makeup artist who also wants to be a part of each woman's story. We want to gift you an amazing day from which you will walk away feeling confident and powerful.
