Mother and daughter photoshoots are my absolutely favorite. I am just passionate about capturing this important bond.
When I receive inquiries for a children’s fine art session, I never hesitate to ask mom if she has been professionally photographed with her child. Most often it has either never happened, or been a couple of years since these photos were updated; meaning their babies were now older and very different.
These sessions are a great opportunity to create a legacy portrait that will be past down from generation to generation. Imagine the impact the portrait will have on your loved ones? In ten, twenty or thirty years your child will want to recreate their portrait with their own children. This experience is an amazing way to begin a new family tradition.
I travel often, and much of the joy I receive from traveling is being able to connect with mothers who are unable to come to Houston for a photoshoot with me. I was excited to work with Tracey, she has a beautiful three year old daughter who is spunky, sweet and joyous.
What I loved the most about our conversation was her desire to create unique portraits, and her love for fashion and all things sweet and girly. When I asked her to include herself in a Mommy and Me photoshoot, Tracey only hesitated for a second, and I excitedly began to plan her photoshoot.
When you book a Motherhood Session with me we include Hair and Make up for mom and light styling for the children. You can imagine my delight when Tracey arrived with dozens of outfits for both herself and her daughter. I was literally giddy with anticipation, and selecting just a couple of outfits was extremely difficult for me; choices, Just like I like it!
